WARRANTY COVERAGE
Frames | Glass | Moving Parts | Coverage Exclusions & Limitations
Frames:Best Window & Door Co. warrants that custom
windows manufactured with rigid vinyl extrusions in the property specified in this
certificate, will not blister, corrode, flake, peel, rot or warp under conditions
of ordinary wear, because of manufacturing defects in the extrusions, for as long
as you own the property in which the windows are installed. Should any frame
material not perform to the standards specified in this certificate. Best Window &
Door Company will provide you with a replacement frame, or window (if necessary),
and repair service at NO charge for all windows INSTALLED by Best Window & Door
Company INSTALLERS.
All window purchases that are installed by anyone other than Best Window & Door Company
installers shall have a lifetime warranty on the frame material, 2 years (from the
time of purchase) FREE labor and service charges to repair defective frame parts,
and NO WARRANTY on installation or installation defects (i.e., water penetration,
air infiltration, mold, poor cosmetic appearance due to installation, etc. or any
other problems that are attributable to poor installation). Once the 2 year
ownership period has expired, applicable service charges and labor rates will apply.
Color:
The Gold Series Capstock Window (brown exterior/white interior) is NOT warranted
against the brown exterior color fading over the period of the window(s) lifetime.
Glass:
The sealed insulated glass unit (I.G. unit)
is warranted against defects resulting in material obstruction of vision from film
formation caused by dust or moisture in the dead air space of the sealed unit for a
LIFETIME of the unit from the date of installation. Should a glass unit fail,
Best Window & Door Company will provide you with a replacement glass unit and repair
service at NO charge for all window(s) installed by Best Window & Door Company installers.
Moving Parts:All moving parts, such as
balances for the double-hung window, operators used in casement and awning windows,
and locking mechanisms used in all windows, are warranted for a LIFETIME in the
window that resides in the house in which the windows were installed. Should any
moving part fail, Best Window & Door Company will provide you with a replacement
parts and repair service at NO charge for all windows installed by Best Window &
Door Company installers.
Coverage Exclusions & Limitations:
This warranty only covers types of damage specified above and does not include defects
that are attributale to normal weathering atmospheric pollutants, mildew build-up,
or that caused by misuse, abuse, settlement of the building, failure of the structure,
failure of the owners to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance and upkeep fo the
product, fire, lighning, hurricanes, tornadoes, windstorms, hail, vandalism, earthquakes,
or other acts of God, impact of foreign objects or other causes beyond the control
of Best Window & Door Company.
Condensation on windows, which may occur as the natural result of humidity within the
property, changes in interior/exterior temperatures, does not indicate a defect in the
window and is not included in this warranty.
Best Window & Door Company reserves the right to discontinue or make changes to any of
its products. If the products covered by this warranty are not available, Best Window
& Door Company shall have the right to substitute a product that, in its sole discretion,
is of equal quality and value.
Best Window & Door Company will not be responsible for any costs incurred in correcting
any installation defect caused by installers that are NOT employed by Best Window &
Door Company. Best Window & Door Company reserves the right to charge a labor fee to
correct any installation defect caused by windows installed by other parties.
Best Window & Door Company is giving you a lifetime warranty under provisions of the
federal Magnunson-Moss Act. Best Window & Door Company cannot and shall not be liable
to you for breach of any other written or oral express warranties, such as those, if
any, given to you by dealers, contractors, or other installers of the window(s).
